Mothers and daughters piecing together creating wedding bedspreads are what it is all about. These quilts have been passed down from couple to couple to adorn the marriage bed for centuries. Imagine the warmth that this quilt holds for the future. Amazing stories some of these old quilts can tell about quilting groups and the conversations held around it.

Control Your Portions

Imagine with me if you will, a woman, a mother, carefully picking out fabric. The fabric, which has been sitting for quite a while with no purpose except beauty. This fabric beautifully adorned with the most unique designs. She does not know what it is for but, she knows that it is special. She tucks it away for another time when its purpose will be revealed. No one knows when or for what it will be used. It will stay safely hidden until the right time.

One day, she find the fabric, it has been hidden for some time. She has a special quilting project in mind. Her daughter is having a baby. This beautiful fabric will transform itself thru quilting into a beautiful cover for an angel. She carefully works on the quilting project. It is finally finished. It is adorned with the beautiful fabric that was chosen unbeknownst to her for this special project. By quilting the baby spread, she is giving an heirloom that will pass down form generation to generation. Her heart is as warm as the user of the quilt. She has on of her own on her rocking chair that her mother finished quilting for her many years ago!
